The three Tese di San Cristoforo were built starting in 1525 during the development of the Arsenale Novissime (1473-1573) along the north wall. Made as a "water view" or water yards at the san Cristoforo's Tower, they have long maintained this characteristic until the burial performed from 1880 onwards. The work of recovery have just allowed to use the Tese as containers for temporary exhibitions, the first step towards the future comprehensive redevelopment.
