From 18th October until 2th November, Arte Laguna shows at Brolo Centro d’Arte e Cultura in Mogliano Veneto (Treviso) the collective exposition on the 30 finalist art pieces of the 3° Internationa Art Prize Arte Laguna – painting section, an international art contest that, in this edition, confirmed itself as the most attractive Italian contest thanks to its 3.300 registered artworks form all over the World – Europe, Latin America, North America, Africa, Asia, Oceania.
The exposition, cured by Viviana Siviero (President of the Jury – painting section), reproduces a cross section of the evolution of painting. Many different branches are purposed or simply alluded: from experimentation next to realism up till realizations at the limit of technique, where any definition is useless: visitors can appreciate materic, graphic, conceptual experimentations where astonishment and provocation are pursued. The exhibition gives a significant representation of the present. Visitors are invited to visit it, looking for something different than visual pleasure. The works were selected by a specialized Jury, composed by Viviana Siviero, Igor Zanti, Carlo Sala, Ilaria Simeoni, Giovanni Bianchi. Ten represented nations: Italy, USA, France, Great Britain, Israel, Japan, Serbia, Croatia, Austria.
Here the artists: Manuel Baldini, Alberto Barazzutti,
Luca Bidoli, Marta Bettega, Stefano Bolcato, Chambers Cholla, Davide Comandè, Oscar Colombo, Nebojsa Despotović, Giuseppe Donnaloia, Giuseppe, Alexandre Eudier, Fidia Falaschetti, Damiano Fasso, Pierluigi Febbraio, Leslie Jenkins, Benny KatzJames H. Cholla’s work, even if excluded from any Prize, received a Special Mention of the Jury as a form of provocation, aimed to give a particular attention, not controversial, to the ironic evolution of the myth of art in a epoch of technical reproducibility.
