An important network of 15 Italian and international art galleries now are ready to choose new talented artists and new exhibitions in Vienna, London and Budapest are scheduled within the 2010 and the 2011.Less than a month before the deadlines for the International Arte Laguna Prize 2009 (15th November for applications by mail and 26th November for the on-line ones) the Organization has presented relevant and interesting news for participants which are increasing the endowment of prizes, already important.
For this fourth edition for the Arte Laguna Prize has planned two exhibitions of great value. The first one will take place from the 6th to 27th of March 2010 at the Arsenale in Venice for the 90 finalists selected. The second exhibition will take place in the same period at Palazzo Correr in Venice and it is exclusively for a selection of the best Under-25 participating artists.
These important locations of the Prize exhibitions represent the beginning of a new and exciting path for many of the participating artists who could be selected by the juries of the "Special Prizes". These prizes consist in a personal and collective exhibitions organized by the prestigious network of galleries that support Arte Laguna Prize. Moreover the great value of Arte Laguna Prize is also reppresented by the opportunities that happens among the artists, the curators and managers of art galleries and the member of the Jury of this constest, composed by important curators and art critics.
The appointments with personal exhibitions at art galleries will take place from April 2010 and until December 2011, organized by the curators of the 14 galleries that compose the Arte Laguna Prize network: L'occhio Gallery, Perelà Gallery, Giudecca 795 Gallery and Melori & Rosenberg Gallery (Venice), Wannabee Gallery, Bianca Maria Rizzi Gallery, It’s My* Gallery and Bianconi Gallery (Milan), PrimoPiano Gallery (Naples), dell'Ombra Gallery (Brescia), De Faveri Arte Gallery (Feltre), Alexander Alvarez Gallery (Alessandria), Dora Diamanti Gallery (Rome), Promenade Gallery Contemporary Art (Vlore).
The following appointment with Arte Laguna Prize will take place in Vienna. From the 12th to 26th of April 2010 is planned a summary of the collective exhibition at the Italian Cultural Institute in Vienna, one of the 90 Italian Cultural Institute located in around the world that are places of dialogue and meetings for intellectuals, artists and cultural managers.
In May 2010 Arte Laguna Prize will go to London for the exhibition of one of the finalists during "Catch by the Eye, Save in the Heart", a project of international emerging contemporary artists, organized by the curator Magdalena Rutkowska: Each year this project is hosted by prestigious galleries in London: May Fair (4-10 May 2008), Belgravia (21-27 September 2008), 3 Bradfordbury Gallery (2-8 June 2009).
The latest news is the participation of a new foreign gallery in the Arte Laguna Prize network. This is the Koller Galeria in Budapest, the first art gallery in Hungary which is located in the Castle District and it propose a diversified and innovative programme of exhibitions as a reference point for the Hungarian art market.
