Who can apply for the “Arte Laguna Prize”?
The Prize is open to all artists, without any limits of age, sex, nationality or other qualification.

Who can apply for the Special Prize “Collezione D’Arte Tenuta S. Anna” ?
The participation is open to all the artists who register at the PAINTING SECTION with 2 artworks.

With how many works can I enter in “Arte Laguna Prize”?
The artist can participate in each section with 1 or 2 works art. It is possible to apply for more than one section.

With how many works can I enter in the Special Prize “ Collezione d’Arte Tenuta S. Anna”?
The artist can participate with 2 works of art that could be different from the other ones in applied for the painting section.

How much is the “Arte Laguna Prize” application fee?
The application fee is 40 euro per 1 work and 70 euro per 2 works proposed for the same section. For students under 25 years who are attending art schools or Academy of Fine Arts the fee is 35 euro per 1 work and 60 euro per 2 works proposed for the same section (school certificate is required).

How much is apply for “Collezione d’Arte Tenuta S.Anna” Special Prize?
To participate in there is no more application fees.

If I would apply for two different sections, how much I have to pay?
For instance, if you participate in painting section with 1 work and in the sculpture section with another 1 work you have to pay 40 euro for each participation. Therefore you should pay 80 euro to apply for both sections.

How can I pay the application fee?
The payment of the application fee can be made in 4 different ways:
1) by paying-in slip addressed to Cultural Association MoCA [c/c (current account) nr. 80409584] under the cause “Concorso 2009”
2) by bank transfer addressed to Cultural Association MoCA, PREGANZIOL (TV) ITALY (VENETO BANCA - IBAN: IT96D0541861800039570322845 - BIC: AMBPIT2M) under the cause “Concorso 2009”

The application fee can be refunded?
The fee is for the partial covering of organization expenses and it will not be refunded.

Have the works got a particular theme for participating in?
There is no particular theme for “Arte Laguna Prize”. Only “Collezione d’Arte Tenuta S.Anna” Special Prize has a theme: “Earth colours”

How can I apply for “Collezione d’Arte Tenuta S. Anna” Special Prize?
There are 2 ways:
- on-line: After you fill in the painting application form with 2 works of art you will receive an e-mail with all the information to complete the application for “Tenuta S. Anna” Prize
- by mail: send the application form filled specifying which Prize you are applying for, with the copy of fee payment and with pictures of the works (written on the back: name, surname, country, title, dimensions, technique, year).

How can I do to apply for different “Arte Laguna Prize” sections?
You have to fill in the different section forms (http://www.artelagunaprize.com/index.php/application.html)

Which are the allowed techniques?
- Painting: total technical and stylistic freedom (oil, tempera, acrylic, ink, vinyl, watercolour, graphite, pencil, collage, etc.) on whichever support (canvas, paper, wood, plastics, iron, etc.).
- Sculpture and installation: whichever organic or inorganic material. Works can make use of sounds, lights, videos, mechanical or electrical movements. The art installation author, in case of being selected for the finalists collective exhibition, will have to supply the price organization with the necessary materials in order to display the artwork, and personally supervise the installation.
- Photographic Art: colour and b/w analogical photos, colour and b/w digital photos,  colour and b/w digital elaborations,  works entirely realized on computer. Videos are not admitted.

Which are the maximum dimensions allowed for each work of art?
- Painting: the max dimensions allowed per each works are 150x150 cm, picture frame included.
- Sculpture and installation: the max dimensions allowed per each works are: base 4 m, depth 4 m, height 4 m, weight 150 kg.
- Photographic Art : the max dimensions allowed per each works are 150x150 cm.

Diptych, triptych and polyptych are allowed?
Yes, diptych, triptych and polyptych are allowed but the whole dimension must be with in 150 cm for each side.

When is the deadline?
For “Arte Laguna Prize” the deadline is:
 - 15th November, 2009 for by mail applications (postmark)
 - 26th November , 2009 for on-line applications
For “Collezione d’Arte Tenuta S. Anna” Special Prize the deadline is:
 - 30th September, 2009 

Is it possible apply for “Tenuta S. Anna” Prize with in the 30th September and after apply for “Arte Laguna Prize”?
Yes, it is possible before apply for “Collezione d’Arte Tenuta S. Anna” and after apply for “Arte Laguna Prize”, you have to pay 70 euro only for the first application. Ask for the application form to: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it   

How is it the selection process?
1) First Phase: At the end of the enrolment period there will be the first selection. The Jury’s Presidents are going to selected 120 works (40 for each sections) by works’ photos. The organization will contact the selected artists and to them it will be asked to send the original work to the exhibition venue.
2) Second Phase: When we receive all works the Jury will decide about the 90 artists selected for the collective exhibition in Arsenale – Venice. The Organization will publish the complete list of selected artists in Arte Laguna Prize webpage and it will send these information by newsletter too.

How will I know if I am one of the selected finalist artists?
The Organization will contact one to one the selected artists between December 2009 and February 2010 and it will give all the information about the ship and the setting for the exhibition.

How can I send the work of art?
Each artist have to take care of the round-trip transportation costs and of any insurances. You can decide to send the works with a mail courier or to bring with you the work to the exhibition venue.

Which are the rules for Special Prizes’ selection process?
Partners will select one or more artists between the Arte Laguna Prize’s finalists

How can I know if I won one of the Prizes?
Names of winning artists will be communicated during the inauguration/winning day for the exhibition of the finalists in Arsenale- Venice. In following days the names will be published in “Arte Laguna Prize” site web and newsletter.

When the Official Catalogue should be presented?
The Official Catalogue will be presented and distributed during the inauguration day of the “Arte Laguna Prize” finalist artists’ exhibition. 

How can I do for receiving the Official Catalogue?
The Official Catalogue will be free distributed during the inauguration days of the collective and personal exhibition organized by the different galleries. Nevertheless it is possible to book one catalogue’s copy sending an e-mail to the Organization after the exhibition opening, so after the 6th March, 2010.
