Arte Laguna looks for brand new performance art A special selection of Performances Art for the Arte Laguna Prize’ vernissage on 6th March 2010 – Arsenale - Venice
ART. 1 – Techniques The Prize is open to single artists or groups of artists (collective) without any limits of age, sex, nationality or other qualification. Each artist or group can participate with one performance. The performance can be performed with any kind of technique and expressive form. Each performance should have a maximum time of 10 minutes and should involve a maximum of 5 artists.
ART. 2 – Jury The selection of the participants will be carry out by a Jury composed by: Viviana Siviero (art critic), Alessandro Trabucco (art critic), Igor Zanti (art critic).
ART. 3 – Prizes The Jury will select 3 winning performances that are going to be performed and to be presented to the public during the opening evening of the Prize on 6th March 2010 at Tese di San Cristoforo, Arsenale in Venice.
ART. 4 – Application Fee The participation is completely free.
ART. 5 – How to participate in Artists can apply until the 15th February 2010, entering in the official site web of the Prize www.artelagunaprize.com, filling in the application form and uploading the required files. All the documents (including photos) will not be returned. The first selection will be done with the submitted material.
ART. 6 - The winning performances The winners will be performed and presented to the public the selected performance during the opening of the Prize Arte Laguna 2009. The vernissage will be on Saturday 6th March 2010 at Tese di San Cristoforo, Arsenale in Venice. The winners have to contact the Organization to carry out a previous tour of the exhibition spaces and should agree with the exhibition choices made by the curators. The costs related to the transportation, the assembling, various materials and any necessary equipments for performing the performance will be incurred by the winning artists.
ART. 7 – Reponsibilities The cultural association MoCA and Arte Laguna ensure the maximum care and custody of the materials and the works but they are not responsible for any kind of theft, fire or damage on the works or individuals that can occur during all stages of the event. Any application for insurance must be subscribed by the artist himself. We invite all the artists to keep abreast of developments of the selection, which will be regularly updated in the site www.premioartelaguna.it and www.artelagunaprize.com
The organization will send every communication also to all the subscribers in the Prize’s mailing list. It is recommended to provide an active e-mail address, to save this e-mail

ART. 9 – Agreement The decisions of the Prize Jury are final and unquestionable. The winning artists could renounce the Prize but they cannot ask to Arte Laguna any form of compensation. In these case the Prize will be reallocated according to rankings of the Jury decisions. Each candidate gives to Arte Laguna the rights to reproduce works and texts for the Prize database, for publishing the works on the Prize website and for other forms of communication and activities.
Each Artist gives the Cultural Association MoCA and Arte Laguna the authorization to the treatment of the personal data according to the law on the privacy (Legislative Decree n° 675/96 and n° 196/2003). The participation to the prize implies the knowledge and the total acceptance of this Rules
