The Bianca Maria Rizzi Gallery in Milan was founded in 2004 with the genelat purpose of experimenting and discovering new talent. The first aim is to promote contemporary and emerging artists for young collectors to strengthen a field that is too flattened and it needs more no over-exposed artists.
In few years it become an alternative place but very popular for the young Art in Milan. Since 2006 the Gallery is a member of the National Association of Modern and Contemporary Art Galleries (ANGAMC). The gallery participates in art fairs both national (Milan, Verona, Bergamo) and international (Zurich, Berlin).
The Gallery’s funder is a German-Italian couple and they offer a program of great interest with German artists (Kinki Texas alias Holger Meier, Jens Lorenzen, Felix Rehfeld, Martin Friedrich Spengler), international artists (Jernej Forbici, Maria Garcìa Sasia) and young talent artists from International Fine Art Academies (Zelimir Baric, Luca Gastaldo, Daniele Giunta, Mihailo Beli Karanovic).
The collaboration with foreign galleries and institutions, in particular with the Germany, gave to the Gallery the possibility for proposing foreign artists in the Italian country and for offering a chance in the foreign art system for young Italian artists, discovered by the Gallery.
The Gallery is willfully eclectic but overall the Gallery track is the freshness of artistic proposals. All artists are aware of instances of high and popular culture with personal reworkings of the art of the past, both Pop and other artistic movements; without choosing between figuration and abstraction, but catching the powerfull intersection between them that distinguish today's research of young artists.
The publication of catalogs is systematic and it is signed by prestigious art critics as Paolo Manazza, Alessandro Riva and Mimmo Di Marzio but also pushes young critics as Emanuele Beluffi. Also the Gallery collaborated with the following art critics: Cecilia Antolini, Claudia Bernareggi, Chiara Canali, Marta Casati, Stefano Castelli, Ivan Quaroni, Viviana Siviero, Alessandro Trabucco, Alberto Zanchetta.
