The Arte Laguna Prize presents two new sections: video art and performance that in March 2011 will be exhibited in the Nappe of the Venice Arsenale.

The Arte Laguna Prize paid attention the different expression languages of visual arts and for its fifth edition it presents two new sections: video art and performance.

In March 2011 the Nappe of the Venice Arsenale will exhibit not only an overview of contemporary art with the most significant works of Painting, Sculpture and Photography, but will open their doors to video and performance of artists that will be selected by an international jury. The Venetian venue represents an high visibility location where curators, gallery owners, journalists, collectors as well as a large public will come and it also will host meetings, lectures and training courses.

For every edition Arte Laguna Prize creates new collaborations with festivals, art foundations, galleries and businesses with a view to expand the opportunities for artists. Among these there is also the International Festival Tina B of Prague, that will select, among the candidates for the 5th Prize Arte Laguna, one performance that will be presented at the Festival and in all places where it will goes, including Danzig and Vicenza.

We should remember that the applications for Arte Laguna Prize are open until the 16th of November and the opportunities for artists are huge: 5 cash prizes of 5,000 euro each, solo exhibitions in 35 international art galleries, 4 residences for artists,  Business for Art in Brazil ...
