Virginia Garfunkel was born in 1979 and growned up in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Between the years 2000 and 2002, she studied Film at the National School für Cinematographic Experimentation and Direction, E.N.E.R.C. and Photography at the School for Creative Photography Andy Goldstein, where she got her Degree as Fototechnician.

Since 2005 she studies Visual Communication with the Mayor Subject Photography at the HTW Berlin University.

She realized some Exhibitions in Berlin, Cologne, Buenos Aires and Venice and was selected for some prices like the Bollini Foundation Price and the National Price for Visual Arts at the Palais de Glace Buenos Aires, among others.

At the moment she is working on her photographic Thesis. She lives, workes and studies in Berlin.
