From 23 November to 14 December 2008 the Cultural Association MoCA and Laguna Art show at the Exhibition Space "InParadiso, at the Giardini of the Venice Biennale, the 30 finalists of the 3rd International Art Prize Arte Laguna - photographic art section.

The exhibition, curated by Charles Hall - Chairman of the jury of the section - does not follow particular issues, it is barred from any instance of creative and cultural. It 's the result, rather, a selection made - over 1,000 jobs - a jury award made by Charles Hall, Viviana Siviero, Igor Zanti, Marcello Carriero, Laurent Fabry Ilaria Pigeons and Scarlett Bertolazzi. The exhibition representing 30 artists from nine countries: Argentina, Austria, France, Germany, Italy, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, USA, Switzerland.

"Today we live in a cultural climate of post-dogmatic, when the great artistic conflicts are essentially finished. Contemporary art is increasingly hybrid and exchanges between different ways of thinking about contemporary photography are frequent. "With these words, the curator of the exhibition introduces us to a festival where you can see authors related to architectural photography to confront with authors who use the shot in documentary of a performance, but also linked to the image authors realistic in real dialogue with others that create an artificial reality. We will appreciate also photographs of a conceptual nature, which relate exposed shots with objectivity and dominated by a direct perception.

The exhibition will give an overview about the plural international photography scene, with no constraints or preconceptions critical. This in the belief that research in the field of photography should have a clear knowledge of his time. "Photography is the daughter of a range of social issues that become imperative, because they reflect an aesthetic of today. You can not think of a discipline that acts detached from its context. Any production of the culture of the present is inextricably linked to historical, social, philosophical and artistic, in which photography can not escape. "(Charles Hall)

The inauguration will take place Sunday, November 23, 2008 at 17:00 at Exhibition Space "InParadiso, at the Giardini of the Venice Biennale.

The event will be hosted by Nelly Pellin, journalist Antenna 3.
