Galeria Fernando Santos in Portugal inaugurates the personal exhibition "Layers in flux" of Cristian Villavicencio, winner of the "Artist in Gallery" prize of the 9th Arte Laguna Prize.

The artist was born in Ecuador in 1984 and currently lives and works in Bilbao, Spain.
His artistic production which includes moving images, sculptiure and media art, is designed digitally and created with numerical control production methods like CNC woodcutting and 3D printing.

The exhibition "Layers in flux" explores questions of space, time and point of view through the concept of “mutating geographies”, the effect of the randomness on perception and the connection between the digital and the physical.
In this immersive space, audience members not only investigate, but also connect with the systems’ processes.
