Opportunities for designers and artists 2017 Edition

9 November 2017

Every year Arte Laguna Prize offers a series of collaborations with companies meant to connect creativity with craftsmanship.

For the 12th edition, artists and designers are given the chance to work with Manifattura Zanetto an Italian craftsmanship laboratory, dedicated to the creation of noble metals art objects.
The Zanetto (www.zanetto.com) production philosophy involves maintaining the artisanal character of its products, convinced that hand production provides a unique and absolute guarantee to achieving exceptional quality and original workmanship.
Traditional techniques and ancient secrets are maintained and reinvented to create contemporary objects that strive for simplicity and balance.
Designers and creatives can submit their project for the realization of a vase which has to contain at least a noble metal sheet.

The most original and creative project, in line with the company's philosophy, will win a cash prize of 2.000€. Besides, a model of the vase will be displayed during the exhibition at the Arsenale of Venice.

In order to get selected for the best proposal, which will win 3.000€, artists will need to submit artworks, performances, photographic projects, design objects etc. which enhance the value of glass as part of the RRR strategies (Reuse, Recycle, Reduce).
